Take nappy neck..what I call "Medusa" locks.  They have variation in structure and length From long 6 1/2" to 2 1/2".

Structure some pencil thin and coiling to others super soft, flat long locks. All pulled out to make sure damaged locks removed. 

Hand-dyed a lustrous Mossy Green color which means there is a lot of shade differences in these locks. These locks is ready for handspinning, needle felting or any project you want to embellish with color.
